“I borrowed ksh 500, 000 from a bank and gave it to our pastor as tithe for a job” A man speaks after being tricked

Fred Mwendwa, a 26 man has narrated the ordeal where he spent a lot of money in the guise that he was to get a job, only to realize that this was trickery. Mwendwa says that he felt disheartened after more than three year’s looking for work and decided to ask a friend for help. The friend, he says , advised him that there was a church where one goes and they pray for him. However, one was to part with some amount so as to receive the prayer’s, which will in turn lead to him getting a job.

He was told at the church to make a donation every Sunday for three month’s so that his blessing’s would come. He reveals that he gave a total of ksh500, 000. And when the savings that he had finished, he further adds that he borrowed another 60, 000 shillings from his friends and so as to continue with the payment’s of offerings every Sunday as he was really in need of the told job.

The man says that he believed in what the pastor told him, that he would get a job soon. He therefore knew that even if he took loans, he would still be able to repay them since the job was assured. But this was never to be. When no job appeared, Mwendwa realized that he had been tricked.

He almost collapsed as even after reporting the vase to the police, he got no assitance as it seemed the pastor was a big fish who had all the connections.
