All the school fee was conned and the girl remained stranded on the Street!

Maureen has narrated how she was conned sh 21,000 school fee by an elderly man in Thika town who promised to offer her a job and she fell in his trap.

While recounting the ordeal, she claimed the man told her how he has been supporting orphans in Thika Town and was headed to their offices.

Maureen fell into his trap and he accompanied him and as they were walking around, another lady joined them and the elderly man told her that she was his good colleague.

Immediately the lady joined them, she started lying to Maureen how they had helped many people get jobs and she was lucky to meet them since this would change her life at once. As this was going on, Maureen was feeling happy

She recounted how she blindly agreed to everything they told her and they had already gained her trust. After all, in her mind she thought she was lucky to meet the two guys.

They promised to give her job while she was still in school and this excited her because she knew that her mum would no longer struggle to pay her school fees since she was working.

The lady who joined them took her bag and asked her to wait for them outside KCB Bank in Thika and they also asked her not to speak to anyone until they called her.

She waited for them for almost two hours and that’s when she realised she had been conned. She went to the police station crying and reported the incident but she never got to recover her belongings.

When she got home that evening, she narrated the whole story to her mom who quickly organized to meet traditional Doctor called Mugwenu to help them recover the lost money.
